I've played on Paris mission now, I've passed the one gourmet star on Madrid. I wonder actually it wasn't really hard to get into Paris mission.
some times ago I've been searching on the internet about how to get the gourmet star on Madrid, someone said about bribing the mayor, that's right but not result ... well at first it was a frustrating .. I bribed and the mood is full till the end of game but .. no gourmet ?? !!
I try and I try for almost 2 months and I have to focused on the big shots market segment because it gives prosperity. I've saved money to enlarge one the restaurant to large one, furnishing using superior, upgrade the headquarter, refusing the mission given to save the money, add the employee, until add the manager, set the manager auto staff - off or your money will be spent a lot by your manager by training and others, and don't forget to bribe the mayor! Until the game ends but still no gourmet star, but at least I've got best restaurant last year.
But wait ... I try for the last time and I do all the things that I forget:
-look at glossary tab on what was the big shots most interest on example: furniture, price, age of the staff, etc. It can change some times.
-raise price list up to +$14
-train every employee rating on skill, health, motivation about full!!
-advertising in all the place to increase customer
-town advertising (optional)
-while expand building don't forget that you still have to pay the mayor/quarter .. warning : Don't expand anything untill your money is minus, or the mayor's bribe and advertisment could not be paid and as a result the customer won't come to your place to eat
-disturb the competing restaurant, with health officer and others
-expand your headquarter to top level
After I did all of that, I got the gourmet star on the last minutes of the game, while I think it's impossible to ge that.
While I play in Paris, the big shots overall interest on your restaurant is not the point that you'll get the gourmet star, I've just reallized that when you click on mayor, while the mayor visits your restaurant, there were two important information:
1. stars from big shots assessment point
2. branch assessment by the mayor
This two information will give your restaurant the gourmet star, for example when stars from big shots 70 and branch assessment reach 74 or 76 then your restaurant soon will be given gourmet star, just wait for it. The gourmet star can also gone if your restaurant interest is down of course.
Well I guess there's still another ways to gain the gourmet star faster than I did. Please share it with us if you know something more about it.
And by the way I only build 1 restaurant on Madrid mission.
